Belgrade – Pula 2019 Schedule

Arrival in Belgrade April 26-28

Week One: April 29-May 3

• Full five-day week. Classes Monday-Friday 10AM-1PM. Ethnographic exercises.
• River boat cruise.
•  Stay at the Hostel until May 3; transfer to host families.

Week Two: May 6-10

• Full five-day week. Classes Monday-Friday 10AM-1PM. Ethnographic exercises.
• Dale Pesmen workshops start

Weekend May 11-12

• First excursion outside Belgrade

Week Three: May 13-17

• Kvadrat film school workshops start
• Dale Pesmen workshops continue
• Drawing workshop
• Students begin to explore potential independent research projects

Weekend May 18-19

• Second excursion outside Belgrade

Week Four: May 20-24

• Independent Research Projects (individual consultations)
• Film school workshops for those who specialize in video

May 24 or 25: Departure to Pula, Istria

Week Five: May 27-31

• Classes, ethnographic exercises and exploration of Pula
• Trips to Istria’s interior

May 31st: Official end of the program

Farewell Party

Final papers/evaluations due on June 30.
